In this round, the hydro-bot must pass through the given path in which different types of obstacles are placed. Depending upon the difficulties of the given path there are 4 checkpoints. The hydro-bot must pass through from all these checkpoints to get maximum score. Each checkpoint will test the hydro-bot's ability to tackle unique obstacles. Total number of points earned by the robot would decide the winner.
In this round, hydro-bots will be judged based on points scored by them. There will be 3 walls across the arena with a fixed number of balloons sticked on them. A poking device (provided by us) will be attached on the hydro-bot and points can be scored by poking the balloons. Each balloon will carry specific points which will be written on the balloon itself. Top scorers will move on to the next round.
In this round, the winners of the 2nd round will participate. The hydro-bot should fetch a ball from the first checkpoint of the arena and drag it till the provided goal-post and then move in reverse to reach the starting-point. They will be judged on time and mobility of the not.
The Robot will be inspected for safety before the event begins. If found to be unsafe for the participants/spectators, it will be discarded.
All the required accessories have to be brought by the participants.
The participants are not allowed to damage the track, or indulge in any argument with the coordinator as this will lead to disqualification of their robot.
The wireless remote-control sets must be handed over to the event coordinator at the time of reporting, so as to avoid any illegal control of the Robot due to interference caused by the intentional or unintentional matching of radio frequencies of different participants.
In case of wire entanglement, the timers will not be stopped and the race will be restarted from the previous checkpoint. In case any discrepancy, decision of the organizing panel will be considered absolute.
The organizers reserve the right to change any or all of the rules as they deem fit. Changes in rules, if any, will be highlighted on the website.
Violation of any of the rules will result in immediate disqualification.
Teams that are not ready when called for turn will be considered to have declared a walkover, and will receive no points.
In all cases, the judge's decision will be final and binding.
The operator of the Robot is not allowed to step in the arena.
The machine can be powered electrically only. Use of an IC engine in any form is not allowed.
Any type of change in rules will be uploaded on the website prior to the event.
The robot must fit into a box of 40 cm x 30 cm x 40 cm all the time. (try to make a robot length of 35 cm if possible)
Robot should have minimun 15cm width and 20cm length
Robot should be able to move forward, backward and rotate. (forward, reverse, right and left)
In case of wired robot, the minimum length of the wire should be 2.5 m.
In case of wireless robot, the remote which is used for controlling the robot must be a dual frequency remote.
Maximum voltage difference between any two points in circuit must not exceed 24 V. Robot must be constructed by participants.
Participants must not use any ready-made parts for dragging mechanism.
If robot touches the end track line there will be minus marking system in score & if a robot drifts apart from the track then it will be disqualified.
Team should consist of minimum 2 and maximum 4 participants.
